The Shrimp Lot is the one and only reason to go to the Westbank. Sue's has the best deals on shrimp, IMO.

Hands down the freshest shrimp around. Best prices also. I always go to the first stand on the right as you pull into the lot. I wish I could remember the two ladies who always seem to be there. Great service!

Fresh shrimp every time. Worth the drive. Clean bathrooms friendly service its where to go for Louisiana shrimp

Swap-meet gravel parking lot with two rows of various shanty/lean-to "booths" where locals hawk their wares out of Igloo coolers and plug-in freezers. (There was also a place that made Po-boys, but they were closed when I was there.) . Damn, I loved this place. Coming from Michigan, the only way to find head-on shrimp like these is to find a seafood specialty counter and pay 30-40 bucks a pound (and those ain't gonna be this fresh!) The lady with the neon road-crew vest and a moderate Creole accent was a delight, and I was able to understand 80% of what she said. I bought 6 pounds of whites and used the heads and shells for shrimp stock. Probably the best I have ever made. Under 6 bucks a pound. I ran across some shrimp that were slightly smaller, slightly sad at Whole Foods later that same day. They were 15 bucks a pound. . You're stupid if you don't go here.

I drive from Ohio to New Orleans whenever I can. I always bring a cooler because on the way back, we hit up this seafood lot! I got 6 lbs of shrimp and 2 whole red snappers for $60. Highly recommend!!!!

What more can I say than: "if fresh Gulf shrimp right off the boat is what you're looking for, this is the right place for you. They have live crabs and fish too, as well as oysters by the sack, or shucked by the pint, quart, or gallon.

This is one of the best places in the New Orleans area to get a wide selection of freshly caught seafood options along with some live, frozen and prepared items. This is basically a shopping mall of various vendors offering various selections of items mainly focusing on seafood with some having tamales and other prepared and frozen foods. Mona Lisa Lounge is also a short distance away and they offer boiled crawfish when in season. There is also a nearby dock offering Swamp Tours. Love getting my sacks of crawfish and crabs from the shrimp lot. They always have the best prices when I go. The pickup process for reserving food is convenient and quick if you ever need something in advance. I've been going for years. I've had to try other places when demand for seafood is insane and I drag my feet too much but what I can say without a doubt is I have never had any dead mudbugs from shopping here! The other places always, always have lbs of dead mudbugs and they do not do anything to satisfy the customer. If I could eliminate my procrastinating ways I wouldn't go anywhere else. Amy's is my go to but all the shops are good places to go.

Awesome place to get fresh Gulf Shrimp, Crawfish, Local catch and Crabs! The vendors are all so friendly and locations very clean! Most of them do pack for travel!

I live for this seafood marketplace. Let me tell ya, coming from Florida and Maryland where you spend an arm and a leg for seafood, you'll appreciate this place right here. I literally side eye folks complaining about $6 per pound for shrimp. Go to the Wharf in DC where it's $17 per pound and Bowie, MD where it's $72 for a half pound of #1's. So when I come, I only go to Ms. Dee at Dee's Seafood. Her products are fresh, of excellent quality and great prices. Mostly everyone has good stuff out there but I stick with the one who can get me what I want. Below are the biggest shrimp we've gotten so far from her at only $6lb and her crabs are always meaty. If you haven't been, whatcha waiting on. Check'em out!!
